What we do

Building Blocks, in conjunction with local authorities, rescues babies and toddlers who face incredibly difficult situations, including extreme poverty, abuse, neglect and disability and keeps them safe by providing a loving home environment. Many of these children are born with drug and alcohol dependencies.

The long term goal of Building Blocks is to find permanent solutions rather than temporary ones by setting up family homes throughout South Africa with a maximum of 6 children per home under the care of a dedicated house mother with the emphasis on love and education.
